I did the course in Maya 2022 and could follow every explaination of the instructor.
Be warned the course is for an older Substance Painter version. Since Adobe has bought Substance, they changed the UI and some navigation totally. But it is no problem at all to follow it in newer versions (I used 7.2.1).
The overal workflow is pretty ok for beginners.

The course had it's ups and downs, notablly the substance painter section of the course is fantastic! The inital modeling was very fast, I would not reccomend to a beginer, I have used blender for years and starting learning Maya a few months ago, A lot of the fast short cuts made it really hard to watch back if you missed a step.

He doesnt seem to follow good topology which isnt it essential in games you do so?
