About This Course

Mixing Music: Improve your mixes & learn the BEST techniques in the industry used on multiple platinum selling records!

Welcome to Mixing EDM! This course is a complete walkthrough of an EDM song I recently mixed for a client. Not only will you get step by step videos showing you exactly how I mixed this song, but by enrolling in this course you’ll also get the raw audio files that were used in the mix so you can practice along while I'm teaching, which is an excellent way to expand your creativity and workflow.

This is officially our 5th course and its pretty epic for several reasons, here are a few. In this course you’ll learn how to:

  • Setup a session for a great EDM workflow.

  • Tame and sculpt the low end of this song to keep the bass pumping and moving because as we all know in dance music the kick and the bass are just as important as the melody.

  • Use distortion and pitch shift effects to make your synths sound huge and powerful.

  • Use EQ and compression to give instruments and vocals their own sonic space in the mix. Use popular effects and their settings to get the right style of sound for this music, which is really really important.

On top of that all we’ll be available to answer any questions you have about mixing electronic dance music. With a community of over 1000 students and a ton of great reviews across all of our courses we promise a great learning experience.

On a final note if the class wasn't a good fit, no worries, we have a 30 day hassle free money back guarantee!

It gives a solid idea on how to mix, the teacher is very good at explaining what he's doing. This course is basic but every now and then it gives you some pretty interesting informations.

I produce music. I have learned in the last year that I must be decent at mixing audio to be a better producer and this has led me to understand that I can marry most of the engineering into the recording and production stages and get much better quality songs. Without the solid foundation of 'mixing' I was chasing my tail for years. This course is good for someone who doesn't know why you'd make certain choices or how you go about sonically enhancing audio. Essentially this course will help a producer/mix engineer grab a slice of knowledge about why their music isn't as full sonically as they'd like.

It's not super deep b'cos it's what he needs to do on this particular song, not everything you could do is here but what's needed in context.

I took this course b'cos I want to give the highest quality songs straight to a mastering engineer and I paid ÂŁ11.99 and think it was well worth it. I got a few good tips and mostly affirmation for myself but nothing too advanced. If I hadn't watched thousands of hours on You Tube and just taken 50 hours of mixing courses, I know I'd have lots of new great info but I have gained most of the info/insights elsewhere.

This course will give you the info that you must go away and put into practise for many many hours to get good. I'd say there's some production techniques in here too and that's cheating but it's what a mix engineer will do if you don't produce better quality. WHY? Wouldn't (I) the producer want to know what he does and do it myself. I do. :) I produce better b'cos of mix engineers I now don't need. Thanks. :0

I rated this course 2.5 (average) b'cos I feel there's some basic things I don't think belong in and intermediate + type course. When I knew very little I may have given 4 stars. And byeeeeeeeee. :)
