This is a 'learn as you paint' workshop. In other words you will be learning how to paint with water colors as you actually paint a picture. Complete this bright and juicy picture of the strawberries on a plate and improve on your existing skills and learn others..
Follow each VIDEO DEMONSTRATION for the techniques to complete the painting. Relax and enjoy painting as and when it suits you and at your own pace, and see how well one of my students got on with the same picture at the end.

Did not give me the money's worth while there is so much on the you tube these days. Too little and abrupt videos
The class was well presented.
I wasn't very interested in the wood grain, and I didn't like the way it looked at the end of painting it.
The downloadables are much more than expected and while they complement the course, they are very useful on their own. She is a pleasant, guiding voice, providing technique demonstrations for aspects of the project. The downloadables have more content on details for the project and overall theory. It's not really a paint along course. It's better as a watch, then do, maybe watch parts again. The tips are a terrific bonus. Not exactly what expected, but a very lovely solid tool. It was good that there is a link to find/buy supplies is in the beginning, but the suggested brush or color list is not provided early for set up. Thank you for a pleasant course and the truly great bonus bits!
I left this rating because I liked how it went step by step, and it was really detailed with visuals so you could see how it was supposed to look like. I only did 4 stars because everything can improve, no matter how good it is.

I am definitely no artist; the joy in art and creativity (for me) is entirely down to the process, but if I can achieve something passable then that's wonderful!
Nicola's course is engaging and as it is step-by-step videos, where you can paint alongside Nicola, I felt as if I were making real progress right from the word go.
I appreciated the brush tips for beginners, especially as watercolour is an unknown medium to me; I admit to cheating (I used gouache) and struggled with the shading concept, but I was very pleased with my final result!
This course really did help me to achieve something - my first finished piece of watercolour (gouache! Ok!) art. Practice makes perfect, so I can keep practicing, practicing, practicing.
Nicola's course steps were very useful, and she has a wonderful teaching style which helps you to feel relaxed and almost as if you are in the same studio as her. I imagine her painting holidays in France are a wonderful adventure!
I liked that the beginning of the course laid out what you'd need (colours, brushes, materials) and feel that the course was well laid-out and presented. The videos were of excellent quality and I didn't have to mess about with adjusting the audio. I also liked the quiz idea, even if I only achieved 2 out of 5!
I'd like to do more painting classes with Nicola now, as she has a lovely manner which put me ease straight away (which comes across well in the video tuition), and who knows - maybe one day I will get to take part in one of her painting retreats!
i like these videos very much, it teach me something new about painting and colouring that i didn't know, I am a teacher in Malaysia and this videos, I believed it can help my students to learn something new, thanks Nicola!!
