Cat and Dog
I am a commercial artist who specializes in realism, and fantasy, but I also enjoy doodling simple cartoon characters. In this series, I will show you how you can borrow some of the elements from realism, and apply them to your cartoon characters (however simple) and get a fun and interesting result! I am using Photoshop, but you can apply the principles to other mediums or programs.
Students should get a basic understanding of how to apply realism depth (with reference or without) to simple cartoon characters.

I love this course. He shows me how to express cartoon character has soft fur very well. But sometimes he murmurs , so I can't catch him up very well. Thank you!

I really learned a lot from this course even though I know Photoshop pretty well. I love how he uses the smudge, burn, and dodge tools. His tips on using the spatter brush to create hair is also extremely useful.
A beginner would probably have some difficulty trying to paint along with the demonstrations--but I do think it would be helpful for them to see how he goes about his paintings.
