About This Course

Transform your images or royalty free photos into coloring pages and coloring books with this method.

You’ve seen it all before. ZenTangles, Geometric coloring books, and simple cartoon coloring books. This IS DIFFERENT.

With only a photo and a few clicks, you will be able to create a 100% unique coloring book that will make your friends go, WOW!

A couple of years ago, I stumbled onto a piece of cloud based software that transforms my photos into gorgeous coloring books that take only a few minutes to make. That’s right, entire coloring books in an hour! After posting my coloring book on a print on demand distributor and a few social media locations, bookstores and tourist shops started seeking me out to sell them in their stores.

In this course, I will show you how to:

  • Transform your photographs into coloring pages for pennies per page.

  • Find exceptional, free, high quality photo images to supplement your photography, so that you can make a well-rounded coloring book.

  • Format your coloring books for printing on demand with no additional out of pocket costs

  • Show you how to maximize your reach through a few social media outlets.

  • Provide you with a business plan for your coloring book publishing business.

This course could have easily been broken down into several courses, but I want to add as much value as possible so that you will be successful. As with all Udemy courses, it is covered by a 30 day money back guarantee, so let's get started. You have nothing to lose.

  • Make a coloring book from photographs and illustrations

  • Use cloud based software to produce coloring pages

  • Find exceptional, free, high quality photo images to supplement your photography, so that you can make a well-rounded coloring book.

There wasn't any detail on how to use PS to make a picture better before going into reallycolor to change it to a coloring page. That would help a lot.
This course hasn't been updated since 2017 and createspace from Amazon has been kdp for ages.
An update to the course is probably in order.

I believe this course, so far, is a good match for me. Miss/Mrs. Littlejohn is very clear and to the point with her lessons and I look forward to completing this class in order to begin my coloring book journey.

Too short and not enough info discussed -- especially for people new to this field. It's not worth the $14 I paid for it.

The video in part 5 suddenly when black and seemed to skip something but I don't know what.
This course was marketed on how to create coloring pages in Canva, however, the program to make the coloring pages seemed to be in reallycolor.com. The information on "how to make the coloring pages" was very weak and inconsistent moving around through several different programs, some that were paid programs. There was way to much emphasis on the legal aspects and not enough on the creative aspect of actually creating the coloring pages.

I was disappointed that the author only gave an example of how to make the interior pages using Really Color. Really Color is pretty expensive unless you are GUARANTEED to be able to sell multiple book copies. She also suggested Photoshop but didn't bother to show all of the details on how to use Photoshop instead of Really Color to make the interiors. The 7 day trial for Photoshop is NOT long enough to figure it out on your own. If you pay for Photoshop after the trial it becomes much more cost effective to use it to make your own interiors than Really Color. This course is outdated because it only shows how to upload books to Create Space, which is no longer available. If she had also given details about how to upload to other sites and how to make interiors with a software that is actually sustainable, I might not feel so ripped off. Really Color is too expensive to be sustainable.
I also didn't care for her snarky comments about people who bought her coloring books and left constructive feedback for her.
I'm glad I only paid $10 for this course because it frankly wasn't even worth that much.

Good info so far, but screen went black halfway through Lecture 5. I rechecked all settings on my computer and still black. Running Windows 10. Will continue with Lecture and hope this is just a one off.
UPDATE: Screens were just fine for rest of the course. Great general info on how to, but wish there was a little more in depth coverage for the other sites used or maybe a worksheet/checklist of some kind. Got enough basic info about the other sites to use and I do feel confident that I can start.
PS..GIMP can be used as an alternative to Photoshop, now to find a Free PDF converter.
Cheers!
