Thoroughly enjoying the course so far. I've been pausing the video frequently so that I can reproduce the steps Brendon is executing. This is very helpful since there are a number of options for each sub-menu. and I had to refer back to the course to see the settings used for different options. As an example, when moving the text boxes to the guides (section 3), you have to make sure that the "Move Tool" is in the "Tool Toggle" mode.

I learned a lot, and now more comfortable with the Gimp. I tried using it before, but was frustrated with it.
The pace was good and the core tools that you would need to use are walked through. Actually seeing it step by step allows you to follow along and see how the tools actually work. Some bits feel "slow" but that is the nature of the topic and not the instructor. There is only so much you can do to make some things exciting. If you want to get a grounding in the base GIMP functionality then this is well worth taking.
It was what I needed, it teaches all the basics and I can understand what the instructor is saying too!
Yes, the explanation and description of the dialogues and docs we clear, they seem like a lot but would be better over time
This course really helped get familiar with the interface. The only complaint I have is the instructor criticizing GIMP developers when coming across a feature he did not regular or ever use in his professional works. Though even that was not too distracting and kept low-key.

The narration was a bit rushed but that’s OK for now at this point. I had to pause it on my iPad mini 6 to see the details and even then, it was a little too small.
