This is an introductory course on the EWDjs framework.
The course assumes little, if any, prior technical knowledge, but it helps if you're familiar with Windows, Nodejs, HTML, JavaScript and the use of databases.
The course is mainly based around screen-casts that take the student, step-by-step, through the entire process of
installing the components needed for EWDjs
developing a browser-based application
developing a set of Web Services
However it also includes some animated presentations that aim to help the student to understand the technology and architecture of EWDjs
All the source code used in the examples I create in the screencasts is included in the downloadable resources for each lecture.
With just over 3 hours of lectures, the course is designed to be completed in a day if you can dedicate the time to it, but I'd recommend that some of the lectures are watched several times in order to fully understand what's going on.
This course will be of interest to anyone who wants to develop interactive, browser-based applications and Web Services with Nodejs, and particularly if you're interested in using Nodejs with the Cache database technology or the GT.M database. The lectures in this course are very clear and well-organised, building up the working principles of the EWD.js from the ground up. If you start developing with EWD.js, this course is the ideal starting point to get you up and running very quickly using the clear examples given. If you want an excellent, lightweight framework for writing full JavaScript single-page applications, EWD.js is the right framework which will fit your needs. Especially one key feature I want to stress on: this framework adds the right mechanics you need to write your applications quickly and secure, but on the other hand, doesn't get "in the way" when you start using it in combination with advanced frameworks like Sencha ExtJS or React.js / React Native. In fact, it integrates very easily with these frameworks and allows you to concentrate on writing your application code without having to puzzle over system mechanics. I can only strongly recommend this course to every serious Node.js developing in JavaScript!

This course is set at just the right pace for a beginner to ewd.js but still contains all the detail needed to begin developments.

Nice presentation, takes the viewer from not knowing anything about ewd.js to knowing everything it takes to get up and running, even developing your own applications. Being a long time user of EWD and ewd.js I picked up some key concepts of ewd.js which were vague in my mind, they are now concrete thought processes I can apply to developing apps using ewd.js
A thorough, well-paced, introduction to the core elements EWD.js that will provide the developer with a solid foundation for application development using the framework. Not just for those new to EWD.js – architecture and key concepts covered by the course will benefit the experienced EWD.js developer as well. Great course, highly recommended.
