This course is designed to teach you a variety of advanced Design techniques by creating a real world Typography text effect project with the 3D features of photoshop, The goal is to walk you step by step and teach you how to design professional looking projects in Photoshop.

I have a bit of 3D PS knowledge, and he's confused what I thought I knew. He moves too quickly, with not enough explanation and clarification. He also really doesn't do a good job of explaining what he's aiming for as he goes along, nor the final result.

Update: After first trying the course with CS5.1 and being unable to follow the instructor's particular workflow for the 3D aspects, I used a trial version of CC 2018, I therefore got more out of the course, this time so added 1/2 a star to my rating. Unfortunately some of the course was often still so fast paced that it was hard to follow along with. As a course aimed at intermediate users, I wouldn't expect a lot of basics to be covered, and they aren't, so beginners beware. However with the exception of the Mixer Brush introduction and the 3D interface video, there aren't many in depth explanations of any tools or techniques, intermediate or advanced. The whole thing feels very rushed and pretty unsatisfying.

The instructor is good but the software is crap. Adobe didn't think thorough the way it built its 3d software and make it difficult to create with.
