And today, with the example of this funny totem, I'll show you some serious drawing techniques that will greatly simplify your life.
From a simple sketch to a finished unique vector illustration, you will learn all my secret methods ..Well, maybe not quite secret, but very cool!
In this course we will discuss:
Where and how to search for references for work
Drawing a cool illustration from a sketch to a finished vector work
Using the Pen Tool, the Pencil Tool and the Paintbrush Tool
Create a semi-automatic template for symmetric drawing
Selection of a unique color palette and its use in the future
Creating and applying symbols
Fill method using the Pathfinder panel
Adding color
Adding shadows, lights and glare
This class will not require you to have any serious drawing skills, and it will suit both beginners and experienced illustrators who want to learn new techniques of working with Adobe Illustrator.
And yes, a finished illustration of the totem, a sketch, a color palette and a pattern for symmetrical drawing are already included in the course. You can just download them and start creating right away!

A very good course as it delivers what it promised. The course shows some nice tools for beginners (as myself) and explain it step by step. Its good to know how the teacher does its digital art in illustrator, specially that he uses a lot the Pencil tool and draw the contours and highlights/shadows.
Altougth the teacher is not an english native, everything is very comprehensible. I learned a lot , but had some troubles trying to create what the teacher had explained, but was hard to solve some errors that appeared in my Illustrator (maybe the diferent version? 2020 here).
Overall I recommend the course, just be sure to check in the description what this course offers. Ty Andrey B.

O curso entrega o que promete e eu recomendo. Apesar de nĂŁo ser um nativo da lĂngua inglesa, o inglĂŞs Ă© bem compreensĂvel. Aprender o jeito do professor de usar as ferramentas do illustrator foi bacana, especialmente que ele usa muito a ferramenta "Lápis", o que dá mais prazer de realmente estar desenhando com a mesa digitalizadora. AlĂ©m do mais, ensina iniciantes (eu incluso) a usar algumas das ferramentas do illustrator.
Recomendo o curso e aconselho a conferir no conteúdo programatico se é o que realmente deseja. Se sim, vá em frente!
I wish you could have shown a small example at the beginning about the shadow, light and highlight and the theory behind your selection. It looked like a guessing exercise for me.

Muito bom! Ritmo rápido, ensinando o que realmente importa.
It has a few good tricks that i learned, but i think is too basic, the course format has a great design and that was the part that make me buy it, but when i watch the course, i was somehow disappointed, bacause i think that we were going to dig deep in light, shadow, color pallete and on special FX, but then again, there was to basic.
It is a ok course, not as impressive as i thought is gonna be, but just ok
