I've been writing for a long time. I currently have the first draft of a novel completed and I have been looking for instruction on how to edit it to a second draft. This caught my eye because editing was in the course description. Most of this course was very elementary. The only part that was really of use to me is session 14 where I get to learn some new things about editing.
It gave very good basics for better writing skills.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this course and learned a lot of tips and tricks. I was particularly interested in the active and passive voice, and understanding this better will help in my future writing. Everything I've learned here is making me think more about what I'm writing and how it will come across to the widest audience without losing my own voice. Thank you.

Three lessons in, they are quick, and so far it is quite superficial. The writing the sentence is incredibly basic, as is the lesson on contractions. I had hopes for the Journal lesson but again, beautiful video, but no substance or guidelines on how to journal - JUST DO IT. meh
