About the Coach: Holly Bruder serves as the head coach for the Lamar University Cardinals softball team in Beaumont, Texas. She assumed this role in 2012 when the program was reinstated. During her tenure, Coach Bruder guided the Cardinals to a thrilling season-opening victory over UTSA in 2013 and secured a Southland Conference Tournament berth with three consecutive walk-off wins over Houston Baptist in the regular season. The 2017 season marked a historic milestone for Lamar University, with the Cardinals making their inaugural appearance in a national postseason tournament. Prior to her time at Lamar, Coach Bruder held the position of head coach at Morehead State in Morehead, Kentucky, from 2008 to 2011, and earlier, she led Denison University's softball program in Granville, Ohio, for six years from 2002 to 2007.
Students will be able to know the fundamentals of fielding, throwing and hitting.
They will know several of the best drills to practice to achieve success in softball.
