It's pretty much outdated judging by the fact that this was recorded in 2015 and this is 6years after. a lot of things have changed and it would be nice to have an updated video that relates with the current industry trend and latest tools that are being used.

There is nothing in this lecture that teaches you how to "Sell Your Film". The speaker seems like a nice young lady and I hope that she can continue to find success, but she is at best a Freshman filmmaker that just goes through some common sense bullet points on Multi-Platform Marketing and creating a Brand for you and/or your project. I figured that it might be worth a watch at $11.99, but I recommend finding a different course on Selling your Film or on building your Brand while using Multiple Platforms.

Having just finished the editing and now preparing our genre-busting film for world distribution, we need to find strategies that work in the current marketplace. This course introduced us to some new approaches, and reminds us of the ones that have already been intrinsic to our entire project. I really appreciate her emphasis on authenticity, creating the ecosystem of the story, and making the audience the hero. Obviously, this just scratches the surface, and there were multiple times when I wanted to go deeper into various topics she mentioned. However, it helps to crystallize my thinking as a content producer, and to focus our distribution according to our actual purpose. Great presentation.
