Advanced and professional photographers do not generally use any of the semi-automatic modes (e.g Aperture / Shutter Speed priority etc..) when shooting in a studio environment. Bernie is really easy to listen to, and his videos were really entertaining and kept you listening. (I also like his accent!)
Many online courses suffer from over prepared, monotonic boring voice overs but Bernie's style is a bit like having your mate round to show you how to do something. This even goes to leaving some bloopers in which makes it human and fun.

I really enjoyed this course and took a lot away from it. I was surprised at how quickly I picked up certain techniques. I have used flash before but never off camera. Bernie delivers the course in a fun and informal way and also demonstrates that everyone makes mistakes and its these that you learn from. I have in the past taken another course with Bernie so when I saw this one, I had to give it a go. Overall, a great course if you want to learn off camera flash delivered in a down to earth manner.
