About This Course

In this course you will learn about how to interpret an AWR report

This training will enable participants to learn Advanced Tuning and Troubleshooting techniques for Oracle Databases. It will enable the participants to go beyond standard troubleshooting methods and get to advanced techniques analysis to diagnose performance problems. At the end of the training, you will be able to interpret an AWR report and identify whether there is any problem in your database, and if they exist, what are the top problems / root causes of problems.

Additional resources( slide deck , practice guide etc) are part of Lecture 10.

- The course lacks helpfulness and does not justify its price of 1999; it should be priced at a maximum of 499.
- The title of the course, "Oracle DB Tuning & Troubleshooting - Interpret an AWR Report" is misleading; it primarily covers basic fundamentals of AWR.
- Despite expecting deeper insights into performance tuning after watching Ram's YouTube videos, the course merely repeats terms and content, lacking clarity and coherence.
- The course content is disorganized, with recordings often starting abruptly, leading to a sense of missing information.
- Questions from students disrupt the flow of the course, further indicating poor organization.
- The course offers no practical demonstrations of query tuning or reducing elapsed time, omitting crucial aspects of performance tuning.
- Despite Ram's teaching talent, the course feels like a disappointment, lacking explanations on execution plans, query tuning and practical demonstrations. It's not recommended for either beginners or experienced individuals.

Despite feeling very dissatisfied with the course on performance tuning, I would still encourage everyone to consider learning DBA from Ram, as that might prove helpful, even though this particular course falls short in delivering effective performance tuning content.

well explained. Initially course was a drag, and I felt I should go for a refund.
But it picked up very well in the middle. Worth it.

Amazing course. Probably the best on this topic. I would like to learn more about the next section on how to tune based on what we learnt about AWR analysis.
