I love helping entrepreneurs and project managers go from "idea" to "success"! I've been in the software industry for over 20 years. For the last 12 years I've been an entrepreneur in the software, energy, management consulting, and finance industries. I've created, grown, bought, and sold companies and ideas. Before then I spent 11 years with Shell (the energy company). In...

Excellent categorization; I learned a lot! I like how he gives the fallen companies that did not react to open source a moment of silence after he tells each one of their stories.

The course is rather short comparing to others on Udemy. However, it seems that I have learned everything what I needed. I would recommend the course to anybody who is thinking about taking some code to users and considers using open source strategy. It does not take much time and you will definitely have clearer vision what implications open source can have on your work.

Udemy asks for a recommendation early on in the course, but I must say, so far, the material to be on-point, clear, and concise. I've done some work as a software project manager; the open-source community and how it works has been a bit of a mystery to me. The instructor, Wole, does a great job of shining light and providing insights on this subject. Looking forward to finishing it.

I am working in OSS compliance team. This course is much beneficial as it is providing me idea that how the business perspective is for using OSS. Looking forward to learn about the licensing terms and conflicts which was missing. The course could be made better with inclusion on license compatibility.
