I really like this course and easy to understand
I supplemented this course with flashcards and a notebook, but that is a personal learning preference. Aside from that, the course contained everything I needed to learn all hiragana and katakana as well as provide a foundational understanding of the Japanese language. Now when I see Japanese street signs, I can sound out all kana, and when I hear spoken Japanese I can mentally break down the speech into syllables and picture the kana in my head.
For reference of my level of knowledge, when I started the course I did not even know what hiragana and katakana were. I thought all Japanese characters were simply called kanji. I have learned a great deal with this course. This was a fun and fascinating course and I have already purchased more in the series and plan to continue with learning kanji, vocab, and grammar.
