Trying to get the 3rd Party plug-ins to work is a time-waster and it takes away from the focus on actually studying. It's really frustrating.
I wish the main focus was on the Ableton Live Plugins and the 3rd party plugins were offered as an alternative.
There are plenty of producers who use only stock plugins to master and their tracks sound fantastic.
In contrast it took me an hour to get the waveshaper plugin to open because my Mac OS refused to allow it because it was from unverified publisher.
As I said it totally takes the focus away from actually concentrating on the material.
Anyway... Now that I've got most of the plugins to work I hope the rest of the course will be more beneficial.
So far I didn’t get any information what and why are you actually adjusting things like EQs, Delay and Reverb.
It’s just turning some knobs, without explaining why, and what goal are you trying to achieve. I can’t tell, why did you adjust the on the bus, the way you did. It was just tweaking some parameters, not commenting on the process, until you said, that works fine for me. It’s not enough to explain that a reverb bus need’s an EQ, we should also learn based on what to make decisions, to do whatever’s needed to be done. Like I’m lowering the mid frequencies here, because ….
