A Trading Revolution
Market Profile is a trading revolution that started in the 1960's and today is still a revolution as so many traders are still following archaic indexing methods to trade. In this intermediate course I follow on from the first course. Time, Price Opportunity.
A Market Profile is an intra-day charting technique (price vertical, time/activity horizontal) devised by J. Peter Steidlmayer, a trader at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), ca 1959-1985. Steidlmayer was seeking a way to determine and to evaluate market value as it developed in the day time frame. The concept was to display price on a vertical axis against time on the horizontal, and the ensuing graphic generally is a bell shape--fatter at the middle prices, with activity trailing off and volume diminished at the extreme higher and lower prices. In this structure he recognized the 'Normal', gaussian distribution he had been introduced to in college statistics

Not bad, but I would have liked to learn more about the different shapes of the market profile and what they indicate for the next day and perhaps a strategy that links in with the different shapes.
Instructor added some good depth to my current knowledge.

Hope to see more courses about MP with live trading too,these will make the students easier to understand how to execute the trade more accurately.

Even though I consider myself an advanced trader, I enjoyed this course, I like when I learn some new point of view when analyzing the markets, and I got it in here. Would like to see a lot more examples of how the instructor uses value trading with rotation factor in different markets. Thanks!
I think the instructor really knows what he is doing.
This was quite good as it had a lot of examples which helped me to get a handle of the concepts
