The course talks about app inventor. MIT have upgraded it to v2 beta when I took this course. Same app but slightly different layout.

The instructor starts right from the beginning and assumes that you have zero knowledge of programming.
After going through all the videos, you will find that it is really easy to make simple Android apps without knowing programming, because there are free software tools which will generate all the code. You just need to supply the logic.
The instructor makes it very easy to understand, and uses real examples and develops an app right in front of you.
