It was the only online introductory course available at the time of the search. Since I have not completed the course, I reserved the last star for any experience not anticipated. So far, so good.
Very short overview of the basics. Surprised to see so many typos in the slides and examples. He took time to point them out in his video, but not to just redo and re-record?
It was what I hoped for, a genuine overview and a few essential specifics to get started.
So far it is mostly information, i came into this looking for how to code properly hopefully it gets into how to write lua code.
This is a basic level course. Would be good to include a brief introduction of frameworks available in market. Forexample OpenResty, because most of the companies use lua as part of a framework.
The course was not beginner friendly in concept, and lacked multiple application examples of those concepts.
I've learned some basics in lua, but would like to see the course expanded for users outside of MAC and Linux. For those unable to use Shabang, I recommend ZeroBrane Studio.
I expected we will have practical experience. All these have to be showed in a code editor. So much theory in it.
