About This Course

Full Hip Hop / Rap production from former Lauryn Hill keyboard player

I've worked with many in the industry. Pussycat dolls (I have a Grammy nomination for "Stick with you").

I've toured with Lauryn Hill as a live beat maker, MD &Keyboard player.

In the studio with Miss Hill I've poured through records with her and listened and made beat after beat.

In this course I show you how to make a Rap beat for a rapper.

I also show you how to arrange the beat for the rapper, get a rough mix of the beat,

Track the vocal and mix the whole song.  At the end I show you how to set up the mix to send

to a mastering engineer for mastering or do a quick cheap master your self.

  • After this course you will know how to make a beat, arrange the beat for Rappers, rough mix the beat, Track the vocal, mix the song & set the song up to send to a mastering engineer or master it your self

Originally I produced the music for the rap group I was apart of myself with a drum machine key boards & instrumentals ... So it's nothing out of the ordinary to me ... I've been there done that ... Also I needed to refreshen up on that fact ... It's been a while since I've made music like what I'm doing now .. im 43 years old a combat wounded veteran & those days were old and golden in my youth ... I was in primary & elementary school when I first made our rap groups beats ... Really .... So I'm not foreign to the methods of rap production ...

I think it was a bit more technical then I thought it would be, but it was an informative basic course leading into how to form the beat.
