Lacks continuity. During the product overview he starts getting into very specific attributes such as the various transitions and how they work. This course is advertised as a basic and from the ground up course yet, the presenter repeatedly references a previous version of Camtasia. We don't care what previous versions could or couldn't do. Many users don't have the previous skill set (didn't learn or use Camtasia 8). If this were an 'update' or 'differences' course, that would be fine and appropriate but not in a 'stand-alone' advertised course. Finally, the instructor is a little difficult to understand. Part is due to the mis-synced audio and some to his accent. With some time and concentration, this can be overcome. Even the grammatical slipups are cute. My favorite, so far, is the use of the phrase "24/7" to note something that is constantly in use (i.e. open 24 hours a day, seven days a week). His method of saying this was: "It's available 24 into 7." This is a valid way of reading "24/7" and it is endearing, but misses the mark.
Not a bad course overall. I feel the instructor knew the material but it was presented almost like a reference manual instead of an engaging course with real-world application of the software. I think the course could benefit from some examples of multi-media projects that encompass a number of the concepts that were explained in isolation.

good
