A Video Course is WAY Better than Reading a Book (esp. when you’re Editing Photos)

Courses are so much better than book learning when it comes to photography, and here’s why:

  • Screen Capture so you can follow along and see exactly what I’m doing (instead of trying to follow in a book, then switching back/forth to your computer)

  • Skimming a Big BORING Book Sucks - this video course gets to the good stuffwithout leaving any of the important stuff out.

  • You can Ask Me Questions - if you get stuck, you can actually contact me via comments/emails and I’ll get back to you.

  • Seeing it Happen is Wayyy Cooler - when you’re watching me edit photos in ‘real-life’, and see them go from blah-to-AWESOME, it will get you super-excited to apply these techniques to your own photos

Here’s a complete list of everything we’ll cover:

  1. How to Envision your Final Results

  2. Reduce Noise

  3. Reduce Chromatic Aberrations

  4. Selective Deghosting

  5. Tone Mapping - Strength

Complete coverage of material and great example photos. Pam knows her stuff. My only comment would be to ask her to speak more slowly in future courses. It was sometimes hard to hear exactly what she was saying. Great course otherwise. Thanks Pam.

I really love Angela's images, they're visually stunning. I rated this course 4/5 because of the quality of the content, which is very good especially for novice HDR photographers. I didn't score lower for this, but it's a valid (constructive) criticism, and that the production quality of the courseware is not very good. Too much echo in some parts, particularly the first and last modules. There are also far too many bad takes that should have been cut from the video or re-done that have been left in which in my opinion reduces the professional look of otherwise good content. Don't let that put you off though as the actual usable content is good.
