The course only teaches the absolute basics and doesn't give you much practical knowledge needed to get started. The value of the lessons of the second part is minimal.

There are much better courses out there for free. I switched to the "Donut" Tutorial.

Concise explanation of Blender basics. I would've like to see more advanced features covered as well in short video format.

My goal with this course was to learn pretty much what was taught, the basics on adding and editing an object in Blender. The instructor showed me simple things that can be done and the videos were not overly long, which gave me ample time to go back and take notes.

For a basic course in how Blender works I think the instructor did a great job. In the future it might be helpful to go over the user interface just to show students where things are and in general what they do.

Ele cobre os básicos de modelagem e do Blender, pra mim - que já sei modelar em outros programas - foi uma boa aula pra migrar pro Blender, mas não entra eam muitos detalhes, não diria que ensina a modelar em 1 hora.

This is a great course! Mr. John Bura did a great job explaining all the basic features of Blender. I find it very useful and I think this is a good starting point for everybody that wants to learn Blender.

I'm giving a 3.5 stars rate because there aren't subtitles included on the videos. Neither are button/hotkeys captions on the screen, so for people with visual problems like me or that aren't english native speakers, It's kinda hard to follow the instructions. I needed to rewind a lot and focus my sight to be able to check what command controls he used on each exercise.

If Mr. JOhn Bura can fix that it will be a total 5 stars course.

I'm already familiar with Blender and got this as part of a pack, so I thought I'd watch it and give some input. For a new user it gets off to a very good start, and introduces you to terminology. But it loses track when it focuses on just placing the various primitives (basic objects) in the scene for half the tutorials.
There are lots of other introductory concepts that could have been better introduced in the latter half of the course.
So it lost marks for the omissions, but otherwise a decent session.

The first half of the course is informative.

In the second half, the instructor repeats him self in the different videos.

Half of the lessons in section 3 repeat them selves and do not really teach any thing new. If there are six shapes that you can select from the menu it should be explained in one video - maximum two - Not six.

As the information presented includes many key strokes that are not seen while the presenter talks. It is not clear what to do.
In future videos I recommend to present the actual key strokes in text on the screen.

The course is for beginners and is stated as such, but it is to basic and does not cover enough material.

I really enjoyed this short course. Instructor was very clear and broke topics down into small easy to absorb pieces. One of the better short courses I have seen in a long time. Worth your time if you looking for a brief introduction in blender or even to just get an understanding of what all the views, shapes and basic commands are in model 3D modeling tools.
