it is a great starting point since it introduces all the tools from an high level view. Does not go into a lot of detail for that you may need another course.

The Good:
-This course provides quite thorough walkthrough QTP, used nomenclature (which is completely different from what a tester usually is/should be used to), and goes from installing QTP to actually extendind it with simple functionalities. However this is exactly this: basics course.

The Bad:
-The provided primer on VB is extremely limited, and if the target audience is non-technical, they will not have any idea of presented language features, especially that they are presented in the "this is how it is, don't ask questions" manner. No underlying principles are explained.
-Actually, exactly this: no underlying principles are explained, ever. QTP provides a complete automation framework that comes with a baggage of assumptions, but even after going through this course, I've to find out those assumptions all by myself
-I was really, really disappointed that the lecturer waited until approximetly half of the course to introduce checkpoints (assertions in usual testing lingo). I mean - how can you tell someone to automate their first test and record something with no assertions? That's no test, that's functional automation!

The Ugly:
-Unfortunately, I found the lecurer's and grammatical skills accent extremely distracting, as well there were occasions when I had to rewind the video and pay extra attention to what is being said, because it had been said in such unclear way

Ideas for the future:
-Perhaps it's worth adding a recorded workshop on automating a (even simple, but complete) test suite of a normal application (a web page with one button is hardly a real-life example)
