The aim of this course is to teach you how to work with type at the exact same standard as a creative professional. We will be working with type in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as well as learning some essential theory knowledge for this topic.

I thought this would give me examples of how to actually work with the fonts downloaded and how to create font with brushes and so many more examples of how to actually manipulate the fonts. this was too basic as it shows basic information only with no real world examples and hands on

Now that I've published my fourth book, I've begun to realize the importance of typography - and how it's much more than just picking a standard font. So I was happy to find Martin's course on the (practical) basics of type.
The more I learn about typography, the more I realize how much is left to learn; but with this course under my belt, I'm off to a strong start. As always, Martin presents information clearly, concisely, and without fluff.
