About This Course

Take care of your instruments, and become your own technician.

It's very important that, as a guitar player, you learn the ins and outs of your instruments.

This course will teach you everything you need to know to improve the playability and sound of your guitar,

from the simple things to the more complicated and often overlooked parts.

Become your own guitar tech and have pride in your instruments, knowing that they are properly set up

and will allow you to be the best guitar player you can be.

Guitar setups take a bit of time in the beginning, so be patient and take your time.

The time needed to complete everything will decrease with each setup as you get more

comfortable doing all the steps.

You will notice that in this course I use a variety of tools. I tried to stick to tools that most people have at home already.

You don't really need the top tools in order to do a great setup on your guitar. What's important is that you know what you are doing.

Understanding each part of the process and why it is done during a setup is the reason I created this course.

Best of luck with your setup! Make your instrument play the way you want it to play.

  • Students will be able to assess and do a full setup on their guitar.

  • Finding and fixing flaws and errors on guitars will be natural as you will know what to look for.

Playing guitar and writing music for the past fourteen years. I have experience teaching privately, but creating courses makes it possible to reach a broader audience and help multiple people at once. I look forward to creating a lot of useful courses for the new generation of guitarists who are emerging right now.

It's all a bit sloppy and superficial. There are no close ups of the tuning, measuring and intonation steps. Camera is out of focus. It's a shame because the instructor seems very knowledgable and his presentation style is friendly. I think he should put in a little more effort to earn my five stars.

He glens at slow pace to understand, and doesn’t talk above you so that you can understand what he is talking about.

The course is great for those who never set-up their electric guitar or want to learn the different mechanisms on how the the guitar works. I've been doing my own set-ups for years but got in the habit of taking short-cuts. The course was a reminder on how to avoid problems. I also signed up because I needed to investigate some other issues I my guitar before I spend 4 times the price with the luthier.
