At the same time as having creative fun you will also be learning thoroughly the nuts and bolts of music: using, what I call, the ENGINE of music: the different keys, (music's "coloring box"). With this solid, theoretical ground beneath you, you can grow as a musician in any direction, as far as you wish: classical, jazz, rock 'n roll, you name it...

Of the 24 keys, you can learn as many or as few as you like.
How the Course is structured:
I use, what I call a "4 Step Routine". This same routine is applied to each key.
Each section covers one key and is divided into 4 lectures, (the 4 steps):
The main part: scales, chords, and the first improvisation - in video form.
Step 1 in text and diagram form.
Improvising melody only, over a recording of my guitar backing.
A simple song you play and sing along with me on video.
This same format is used for each key: (section).
IMPROVISE THEIR OWN MUSIC on the piano or keyboard, in all 24 musical keys.
WRITE SONGS easily - using what they have learned through the improvisations
KNOW each of the 24 musical keys inside out, they will have become your “friends” - you can take with you wherever you go.

I liked the idea: learning a scale, its most important chords and then improvising and/or singing - BUT:
video and audio quality is very poor, downloadable material contains mistakes / pages are missing or wrong (e.g. G major, E minor). It's possible to get that settled - carefully rewatching the videos helps - but it takes more time and can be quite confusing. If there is material - it should be correct - otherwise it's rather a source for questions than for answers.
And it were great if either all or no audios were available for downloading the lecture while the videos (guitar backing up) are playing , in this course it gets near to dicing ... - similiar point with lyrics (some can only be seen in the videos others are downloadable as PDF)
I know this course is not too expensive, but there are lots of other courses out there with good quality and accurate information ... Sorry to say so, Mr. Chapman!
The course presents a good structure to practice each scale (notes, fingerings for both hands, chords, inversions, improvisation) , and covers all keys. But the quality of the videos is really poor. I did not like the songs he chose to ilustrate each scale. In short, I gave 4 stars because I liked the structure presented, it was fun and effective to learn the scale and to improvise in that tonality.
