I have learnt to use After Effects, which means the course did what it was intended to do. However there is a problem with the 3D text exercise - the file provided is the finished assignment. On ignoring that file and doing it myself from scratch, I ran into a problem with animating the camera. It seems you can only have two keyframes for a camera as altering subsequent keyframes changes the position and orientation of the previous keyframes. I didn't expect that at all, and it seems like a bad a feature of the programme. Alternatively, I just haven't understood something, or there's another feature that I could use which would solve the issue but it wasn't covered. I'm yet to finish the other exercises so there could be more issues like this. Perhaps further testing of exercises with users would help with the course design.
This is the second course I am taking. He is a great teacher, love his style, love the pacing. He is very experienced teacher and I learn so much from him.
Instructor is Adobe certified and it shows. Explanations are clear and the pace is just right.
