This course is only for music production despite the misinformation in the course title and description. The course lacks key fundamentals of using and manipulating film audio for mixing and rerecording purposes.

I've tried several Audition courses here. I think this one covers the most of Audition's features, and it is the best for beginners, too. It teaches the foundations of how sound works, and explains how Audition's tools interact with sound to produce different effects and repairs. Don't be fooled by how old this course is, I'm using it in mid-2024 and I still find it incredibly useful. You won't go wrong with this course.

If you are someone who is new to the concept of DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and truly want to know, understand and learn the very fundamentals of Adobe Audition, then....there is no better course than this one right here, as of today the 20th of April, 2024. (The day I complete this incredible journey with JEFF on this video course). Yes you could certainly take my word on this and get on with life...you could thank me later.

For the ones who want to know "why you should trust me?"..... Well, here's why;

About 6 months ago, I started on my quest o learn Adobe Audition as it seemed relatively less-overwhelming (to me) compared to other DAW options. And so, I did buy one of those other Audition courses (based on both average score and total number of ratings) to start my journey; Its a course by a guy called MIKE RUSSELL (its still around on this platform). Honestly, he confused and scared the hell out of me as it's all "tricks and no fundamentals". (There was Mike teaching 'stunt biking', while I was there to learn 'what a bike was' and 'how to ride it', for the very first time!)

Then I went on to pick up another Audition course ....again a misery; no time on details, no explanation of basics....straight on with advanced material. So, between Udemy, Skillshare and a few other sites, I ended up buying/enrolling/subscribing to over 9 different ADOBE AUDITION courses over the last 6 months getting progressively confused and desperate.......and then found this course by JEFF; right off the bat, it felt like the first drop of water after months of walking under the scorching sun in a desert.

In short, this course not only beats all ADOBE AUDITION courses available online, but sets a standard for what a "beginner course" should look and feel like "to a beginner", right from the "start"....... "to the finish" .....regardless of the course subject.

I could go on and on with this, but I guess the point is made; If you're a beginner and want to get your fundamentals right, and at the first time, look no further and save yourself both time and money!

I thought it would be teaching me about how to use the different aspects within Adobe Audition. It has been talking about sound waves and bit depths. None of which is helpful to me.

1- the instructor uses simple language so far- which makes things a little bit easier for a beginner like me 2- the course structure seems well paced,which was comforting and motivating for me 3- it quickly goes into the practical aspect of the course,also a plus

This tutorial provides very comprehensive explanations regarding each and every menu/option of Adobe Audition. Even if it might be seen as too detailed for the topics that you are not interested in, it is worth listening each individual lesson.
