For certain triggers people and animals tend to consistently respond a certain way. Knowing these patterns and how to trigger them can significantly increase the chances that someone will be persuaded by your request.

Section 2 covers each of the 6 mental triggers or shortcuts to persuasion in detail. Each shortcut has a dedicated lesson which:

  • defines the shortcut / principle

  • outlines the science behind the principle

  • provides real world examples of how the principle is applied in practice

  • provides tactics or guidelines of how to adopt the principle for use in your own business context.

Section 3 provides a brief summary of the key learnings from the course.

So why take this persuasion techniques course?

This course gave me insights into why I have understood the reactions of people under certain circumstances at work and in my family life. I often have a different reaction of opinion to people I think I know. I find myself surprised. This video explained some basics conventions, backed by research, that most people unconsciously follow which gave me new insight.

In fact, I am going through the course a second and maybe a third time to take notes and figure out how I can apply to my life the wonderful lessons presented here. To the instructor: Bravo!! Well done!!

Course provide a good intro to the basic 6 principles of persuasion.
To get real value you need to be able to figure out how the principles can be applied in your specific environment - here the course could use some depth with more examples on how to apply the principles, e.g as employee, manager, business owner, consultant, webshop owner .. etc.

Recommendable if you know nothing or have limited knowledge about the subject.
